Mobile Integrated Healthcare – Community Paramedicine Program

The Wauconda Fire Protection District is currently working on the development and implementation of a Mobile Integrated Healthcare – Community Paramedicine (MIH-CP) program that is designed to assist our residents with chronic healthcare problems in a new way. This program is a patient-centered approach to provide non-emergency preventative treatment to those who are most at risk for decreased standards of living by using local paramedics to provide proactive care. We provide this service in direct coordination, collaboration, and partnership with our other fire department partners which include: The Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District, Mundelein Fire Department, Libertyville Fire Department, Countryside Fire Protection District, and The First Fire Protection District of Antioch
